12 Grilling Recipes To Celebrate Father’s Day & Fire Up Your Summer

Grilling Recipes To Fire Up Your Summer

Summer is here and Father’s day is just around the corner.  Father’s Day is a great time to celebrate the fathers we love.

When I was a child my father didn’t change diapers or do dishes. He wasn’t very involved in the lives of his children.  My mother did almost everything.  It didn’t mean my father didn’t love us; it just wasn’t something most men participated in. His behavior was common back in the 50’s and 60’s but I loved him anyway.

Today I am celebrating how far men have come.  These days fathers take a more active role in caring for their children and helping out around the house.  In recent decades the amount of stay-at-home and single fathers has grown significantly.

My husband was as involved in raising our son Trevor, as I was.  He probably changed more diapers than me; since it was one of the things the baby let him do when he was very young.  As Trevor grew up his dad played with him daily and was involved in many of his after school activities.  I celebrate all of our fathers, husbands and grandfathers and their wonderful heart opening evolution.

Grilling is a great way to celebrate Father’s Day.  I grill as much as possible in the summer time.  It’s easy and fun with hardly any clean up.

Here are a few grilling recipes to fire up your summer. They are good for any Father’s Day celebration, summer party or delightful dinner.
