By August 15, 2011March 24th, 2021Dressings, Gluten Free, Recipes

Tahini DressingWe served this dressing in our restaurant Arnold’s Turtle for many years. It’s really easy to make you don’t even need a blender.

It can be used as a salad dressing, sauce or dip for steamed vegetables or roasted vegetables, on grains or noodles and anything you like.

  • Total Time: 5 mins
  • Yield: 1 cup 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • ½ cup tahini
  • ¼ cup lemon juice
  • ½ cup water
  • 1 clove garlic, minced or ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon Celtic Salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon cayenne

Instructions

  1. Add tahini, lemon juice, garlic and salt to a medium mixing bowl. Whisk to combine.
  2. Then slowly add water a little at a time until creamy and pourable. The mixture may thicken at first, but continue adding water a little at a time, whisking until creamy and smooth.
  3. Taste and adjust flavor as needed, adding more lemon juice for acidity or salt to taste. Set aside.
  4. Use less water to make it a dip for crudités.
  5. Store in a glass jar in the refrigerator.

Notes

Dressing will keep 5-7 days in the refrigerator.
