Orange Cardamom Cranberry Sauce

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 ounces fresh cranberries
  • 1/23/4 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1/3 cup orange juice
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • zest of 1 organic orange
  • 4 cardamom pods

Instructions

  1. Bring all ingredients to a boil in a medium saucepan.
  2. Reduce to a simmer and cook uncovered for 10-15 minutes until all cranberries have popped out of their skins and sauce thickens.
  3. Fish out cardamom pods and cinnamon, discard.
  4. For best flavor, refrigerate overnight and serve warm or at room temperature
