Recipe Key
Here is a very special chanting meditation to use when you’re in physical or emotional pain. It help allow the energy to flow through you and release. You’ll feel lighter and more positive.
This is very special chanting meditation I returned to this week to help me with my back pain.
This is what happened…
For the last month I’ve been feeling strong, walking, swimming, kayaking, biking and playing pickleball. Not everything all at once just a few activities each day. These are my favorite summer activities. I love the summer. But then one day my back started to hurt. It was inflamed. I had to rest and cut back on the activities.
I was upset. I was disappointed, saying why did this happen I’ve been doing everything right? I eat well, sleep well, meditate, all the things that keep me balanced.
Okay, since I know everything that shows up is for me, not against me, I leaned into the energy and did a process to sit with my pain and feelings instead of judging the experience as wrong. This allows the energy to move through me.
When I’m upset I find the chanting meditation Ek Ong Kar Sat Gur Prasad helps me move the energy through my body, mind and spirit. I learned this meditation a number of years ago from Gabby Bernstein. I have used it in the past to soothe myself during some challenging times.
The first few days of chanting I cried as the energy came up. Then after 2 days my back pain went away and even better I let go of some judgment. I feel lighter and more at ease. I am doing this chanting for the next 2 weeks. It feels really good!
