I love the holidays. A special part of the season is enjoying delicious food, wine and heart-warming connections with family and friends.
The holiday provides us with wonderful opportunities to bask in the energy of joy and love.
Feeling joy, satisfaction and love connects us to our True Self.
One of the best ways to get into a place of joy is through appreciation.
“As you awaken to your divine nature, you’ll begin to appreciate beauty in everything you see, touch and experience.” ~Wayne Dyer
I appreciate many things in my life. One of them is the connection we have in this community. I love writing these newsletters and sharing my journey with you. I appreciate the time you take to read them and your delightful responses.
I especially love getting together for our seasonal Nourishing Foods Cleanses. We’ve been doing it for 9 years and each season we join together to restore our body mind and spirit.
Thank you for being on this journey with me.
I also appreciate giving and receiving gifts.
Today I am sharing some of my favorite gift ideas. This is a collection of things I love using that may be just the right gift for someone you love.
I take great care in choosing what items I use in my life and especially when I gift them to a friend or family member. I use all of the products on this list so you can feel good about gifting them this holiday season.
Wishing the best to you and your family as you gather together to eat, drink and open up your hearts to one another.

GIFTS FOR COOKS
These are great gifts for anyone who cooks. You don’t have to spend hours in the kitchen to make delicious, healthy food. What really helps is having a few good cooking tools. Here are some of my favorites from this year.
This is my #1 pan. I use it almost everyday. It is very versatile with it’s large surface area. Great for cooking greens, vegetables, fish, chicken, tempeh or anything else.
Cast iron cooking allows the flavors of the ingredients you’re cooking to blend together in a way that you won’t get using traditional pots and pans.
Lodge Cast Iron has been making heirloom-quality cookware and accessories since 1896. I have a Lodge Dutch oven from my mother. It’s probably 60 years old. It’s one of my favorite pots.
This is the stock pot I use for making Bone Broth or Vegetable Broth. Surround technology maintains even heat distribution along the bottom and side walls of the cookware, eliminating hotspots. Premium stainless steel cooking surfaces do not react with food or alter natural flavors.
I keep my bone broths and soups in these jars. You can pour the hot broth or soup right into the jar and let it cool. Then refrigerate or freeze. To defrost the broth or soup quickly, put the jar in a pot of almost boiling water. Be sure to leave 1 ½ inches at the top for expansion when freezing.
No kitchen should be without lots of dishtowels. These are cotton, super absorbent and easy to wash. I use them instead of paper towels. They dry wine glasses completely without any streaks.
I like these inexpensive spatulas. It’s a basic tool for everyday cooking, baking, scraping, icing, turning and flipping tasks. While there are better spatulas on the market, I love these because they are flexible and work great.
I know how tricky it can be to find the perfect gift for a loved one or a good friend. Not everyone wants a kitchen gift or chocolate. Here are a few other items I love that may be just the right thing for your loved one.
This extra thick yoga mat is designed to give you the most comfortable yoga experience possible. The extra thick 6mm mat protects joints without compromising support or stability. It’s a little longer and wider than a traditional mat: 72″ long x 25 1/4″ wide.
This is a really great book on how to use the Law of Attraction. In Super Attractor, Gabrielle Bernstein lays out the essential methods for manifesting a life beyond your wildest dreams. This book is a journey of remembering where your true power lies. You’ll learn how to co-create the life you want.
I discovered this cream when my son was living in Colorado and have been using ever since. Over the years I’ve tried other facial moisturizers but keep coming back to this one. It is deeply nourishing, formulated with vitamins to provide natural wrinkle reduction. This cream nourishes & replenishes dry skin, leaving it rejuvenated & supple. It’s wonderful for all skin types & can be used day & night. Formulated with natural oils, it hydrates & protects and has SPF.
